SIKAP convenes Council of Vice Presidents

In the second meeting of the Vice-Presidents last 12 February 2007, VP Abaja reported the various meetings conducted in Luzon to push partnership of SIKAP with individuals and groups. Updates from Visayas and Mindanao were also presented like the meetings conducted by VP Uy with other local legislators and groups in the visayas and the organizational meetings conducted by VP Lituanas in Mindanao. It was also reported that VP Asiatico presented SIKAP during the KASAGPI general assembly in Quezon City as well as during the meeting of the RH Advocacy Network (RHAN-Youth).

VP Custodio reported an update regarding the participation of SIKAP during the Takbo ng Kabataan para sa Kalikasan. VP Dimayuga shared the need to focus on HIV/AIDS as a priority concern for the migrant youth. VP Garayblas-Aquino will look into organizations of young professionals and into the fast increasing employment in the call centers. VP Adviento will look into organizing chapters or allies of SIKAP in the campuses as well as conduct of voter’s education campaign inside the schools.

All Vice-presidents will intensify recruitment and volunteers in their respective areas or sectors.
