Vows to push reproductive health issues
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines -- A party-list group advocating safe sex has signed up to run against 44 other sectoral parties in the May elections to unify support for population management and safe sex legislation.
Sigaw ng Kabataang Pilipino (Sikap) decided to campaign on a "reproductive health" platform because of "unsettling developments" in the government's population management plans for 2007, said Russel Aleta Solitario, party commissioner for advocacy.
